It’s Christmas Eve, so I’ll be brief.
Life is a jerk.
Life will test you and try you and push you to the brink of giving up…
Then it will open your senses to beauty and joy beyond the best dreams you could ever hope to conjure.
Life is a jerk.
Beauty and joy will fade or are replaced in the blink of an eye with stress and worry and doom and gloom and darkness and discomfort.
Things won’t work out.
Then they will.
Things will work out.
Then they won’t.
Then they will.
You will be happy.
Then you will be sad.
Then you will be happy.
Life is a jerk… but it is never static.
Life is not only happy.
Life is not only sad.
Life is ever forward.
Ever changing.
You are bound to happiness as much as you are bound to sadness.
You cannot escape either.
Just breathe.
If you’re going through light filled happy days right now, that’s wonderful.
Enjoy them.
Enjoy them knowing there are more ahead.
There will be.
If you’re going through the dark right now… rest assured, there will be light.
Your days will someday soon be brighter than you thought possible.
Just give it time.
