I think it might have been during that same Spoons tour (when they were in Stratford) that they also played Fryfogels in London. That afternoon, the Spoons all came into Music Mart (the music store I worked at for 17 years) and hung out for a couple of hours just chilling and trying stuff out. I think Rob was checking out the new Emulator II sampling keyboard. I was talking with Sandy and ended up selling her the world's heaviest bass guitar, the Ampeg! I think half of it was tempered steel or cast iron or something equally ridiculously heavy and some walnut thrown in to add some style. Sandy liked it because it was a small bass. It was used and suited her. The band ended up giving our staff comps to go see them that night at Fry's. We had front row centre seats. One of the coolest concerts I have ever been to. They were fantastic. **And Sandy was already sporting the new (used) Ampeg bass onstage.
